Meet Sofi Galea
Hi, I'm Sofi! I’m someone who’s always been drawn to understanding people. What they do, why they do it, and how that translates into connection. That curiosity, paired with a natural love for creativity and organization, is what led me to marketing.
I’m the type of person who plans outfits the night before and color-codes everything from classes to schedules, so I’ve always gravitated toward spaces where structure and creativity overlap. Marketing sits right in that intersection for me.
What excites me most is bringing ideas to life in ways that feel intentional and human. I’m especially interested in agency marketing because I thrive in fast-paced environments where I can work across different brands, audiences, and creative challenges—and constantly be pushed to think differently.

I’d wake up around 9:30, grab a quick coffee, and chat with my friends. Then I’d spend the day wandering through TJ Maxx with my mom and grandma. Somehow, I’d end up on a Mediterranean beach swimming with dolphins before finishing the day with a scoop (or two) of blueberry fudge ice cream.
-
Hula hooping. I was dedicated enough to perform in my elementary school talent show every year. I desperately wish singing was another hidden talent of mine, but trust me, it’s not. Luckily for everyone involved, I keep my concerts private.

What I’m Focused on now
I’m most excited by opportunities where I can combine creativity with strategy to build meaningful brand connections.
-
I’ve been building hands-on marketing experience through both Cadency and my involvement with the Clemson Sailing Club. Through Cadency, I’m gaining exposure to real brand consulting work. longside that, my role with the Clemson Sailing Club has allowed me to contribute in a more communications-focused capacity. I’ve been involved in PR and content-related work, helping shape how the organization presents itself and engages with its community. It’s been a valuable way to practice storytelling, organization, and consistency in messaging in a real-world setting.
-
I’ve been building my creative and strategic marketing skill set through a MarTech certificate and applied class work, such as my Patagonia playbook, which breaks down how brands like Patagonia use purpose-driven storytelling to connect with consumers.
-
I’m currently targeting marketing internships in brand marketing, creative strategy, and consumer insights.

I have always been a dedicated and committed student. I made the Dean’s list and the President’s list in consecutive semesters. I look forward to dedicating myself to academic excellence and continuing to be involved across campus.
